Rajini fan - Time to celebrate!
Its time for every Rajini fan to celebrate! Everyone will be proud to be his fan for three important things which had happened in the previous week.
For the first time in the history, a south Indian film has been chosen to open the festival at International Indian Film Academy (IIFA). The film is our superstar Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi!!! This film is running with a half-packed crowd in Shanti theater even after 400 days. Recently the fans celebrated the 400th day of this movie at same theater. This film was not only a hit in Tamil Nadu and other major states of India. Chandramukhi was a huge hit outside India as well. It earned about $2.5 million outside India alone.

The south Indian film industry have started sharing the dais along with Bollywood within India and outside India. Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi opened up the channel for others to follow. Due to this IIFA program the tamil film industry should easily grasp the attention of tamil population who live outside India. The IIFA 2006 will be telecasted in Star TV on 25th June.
Next, NDTV has been telecasting a 30mins show named “The Rajini Factor” which was telecasted for almost 3 times within a week due to heavy requests from rajini fans. They repeated the show even yesterday evening at 7.30 pm. It is a 30mins show which only talks about Rajini and his popularity throughout the Nation. Many famous film personalities were interviewed about what they feel and know about Rajinkanth. Behindwoods.com a famous cine portal says -
“Walk on any street in Tamil Nadu, and nine out of ten, the walls will be plastered with a poster of Rajnikanth. Either it will be on a shop board, or it will be painted on the wall, or it will be a poster from one of his films.”
Rajinkanth’s salary for the movie Chandramukhi was 10crore and his salary for Sivaji the boss is 16 crore. He is the highest paid hero in India now. Chandramukhi Ramkumar said
“No one will hesitate to pay him so much when his films fetch so much profit”.
AVM Saravanan also felt the same. Many others like Kushboo, A.R.Rehaman were interviewed in this show. For those who had missed the show - I shall try and publish the recorded show here soon.
NDTV have published few articles about this in there website - Link 1, Link 2, Link 3, Link 4
Finally, it is about the French Film – Prête-moi ta main in which superstar is going to cast. In this movie an actress will be appraising the superstars hit film “Muthu” and will tell everyone that it is one of must see Indian Films.
Its all Good times for Thalaivar and his fans.

Hai,
////“Walk on any street in Tamil Nadu, and nine out of ten, the walls will be plastered with a poster of Rajnikanth. Either it will be on a shop board, or it will be painted on the wall, or it will be a poster from one of his films.”/////
The above lines are not from NDTV’s. It’s from behindwoods a famous cinema portal. I watched NDTV and they haven’t said this. It’s by behindwoods as a good intro for the article. And since i am thalaivar’s die-hard fan, i was atonished by the way behindwoods.com presented the article and wished them.

will make a Vivek film. That will be the day….
The songs were good, I really enjoyed the Vaji Va song and it really
got me going. Sahana was very melodiously nice but Udit Narayan killed
the lyrics! The rest of the songs were nice, but not memorable, very
unlike Vidya Sagar’s songs in Chandramukhi, which struck a chord in my
heart instantly. The opening Rajini song….was nice, but not punchy
enough. The lush and colourful sets and scenery were astoundingly
beautiful. Well, whoever behind the camera has done his role extremely
well.
If you are a true-blue Rajini fan, then watching this movie would be
like going for a 40-course buffet! For the rest, you would be able to
savour some nice moments here and there in the film but end up with an
unpleasant feeling….
What disappointed me most was the message in the film, and how the Boss
went about getting his deed done with brute force, violence, bloody
revenge and tonnes of cash, literally….Bottom-line, his
accomplishments and dreams were realised, but in a negative style. Yes,
what a style…some style.
In conclusion, Shivaji conquers the bad guys and his fans and will be
remembered as the most stylised Matrix-Bond-Robin
Hood-Rajini-over-the-years film of Tamil Nadu and perhaps even India,
but does not capture the heart…sorry Boss!
