Thalaivar has not acted in telugu movies since Betharaidu..He is a close friend of telugu actor mohan babu. Unofficially, thalaivars close sources say that his next venture immediately after the shooting of Sivaji will be Telugu movie Panduranga Mahatmyam.

Shooting of sivaji is now held in Chennai. Manivannan plays Thalaivars father and Vadivukkarasi plays the mothers role. Pattimandram speaker Raja and TV anchoress Uma Padmanaban play the thalaivar’s INLAWS role. Solomon Pappaiah plays the role of Thalaivars neighbour (here is the complete cast & crew sheet). Expect good laughter from the scenes these people are together at least in the first half of Sivaji. The marriage scenes between thalaivar and Shreya was recently shot in Thiruverkadu, Chennai.
