Shankar is the director with the Midas touch. When Shankar made his last film Anniyan, it was touted as the costliest film ever made in South India, at Rs 30 crores. He had painted 350 houses in Thenkasi for a single song!
The film had a sequence with thousands of people singing at a kacheri, exactly like the Thyagaraja Aradhana conducted every year at Thiruvaiyaru. Now, Sivaji is said to be the costliest film ever made in this part of India.

i heard al d tracks of SIVAJI the boss. I felt the “vaaji vaaji”by Hariharan is d best among all.The rap number “oru koodai” sung by blaze hav the maestro’s thumb mark in it. Another heart -melting melody “sahana” by Udit narayan n vijay Yesudas(2 diff.Tracks),will engrave its name. The fightBGM by Naresh Iyer and Blaze Really Rocks. There is another passionating number sung by Maestro A.R himself With sayanora. SIVAJI- another wonder from the fingers of the Maestro A.R. Rehman.
